My name’s Andy and I’m an aspiring musician, writer, and blogger/vlogger.
I used to live in the small town of Celina, Ohio. I moved to Bowling Green, Ohio in June 2009, but I had to move back to Celina on August 2009 due to my lease being invalid.
I’m now a Sailor in the United States Navy who has completed Apprentice Technical Training in Great Lakes Illinois, STG A-School & 56 OPS in San Diego California where I’m currently stationed and am currently in 56 Maintenance.
I created TheAndySan.com to help me improve my writing skills, discuss my interests (which range from playing guitar and singing to watching anime and reading manga), and give others some advise on life (or at least a good chuckle).
My online debut was on April 15th, 2004 with Andy’s Awesome Site of Awesomeness (sounds awesome, right?). I got my start blogging with Xanga on April 11th, 2006 as TheAndySan to communicate with my friends who went away to college. I then moved to a free WordPress blog on March 5th, 2008 in order to gain a larger audience. After receiving over 16,000 page views in a single day, I decided to get my own domain name and TheAndySan.com debuted on May 21st, 2008. Although I have yet to reach over 16,000 daily views again, my website’s constantly growing and evolving, both in the reader base and in content.
Making Videos on YouTube
Although I’ve had a YouTube account since May 2006, my online video debut was February 02, 2007 when I played Andy’s Medley Take 1. Since I went to boot camp back in June 2010 after joining the US Navy, I’m most known for making videos about my experiences in the Navy (mostly answering boot camp & A-School questions). Although it’s currently on hiatus, I still answer questions and who knows, maybe the right question will make it into an episode of N-FAQs!
My main goal with vlogging is to add an extra dimension to TheAndySan.com. I’m currently working on a variety of video projects, which range from abridged series, Life In..Videos (mini-tours of various locales), concert videos, and many more!
My main goal with TheAndySan.com is to help sort out and implement my ideas, thoughts, dreams, and aspirations. I want to use TheAndySan.com to help others discover themselves and see that there really are people out there that chase after their dreams instead of settling for mediocrity.
