In this week’s Deja Vuesday, I’m going to be going through two of my older posts instead of just one! Lucky you!!

Post 1 – I’m Goin’ Home

For the first post, we’ll take a look back three years ago to 2006 when I was in UU and going home for the weekend:

Hey all you crazy cats out there in Web Land, it’s the Andy-San gettin’ ready to go back to Celina for the weekend.

I felt bad for my programming teacher today cuz no one would respond to his verbal questions except for E and Phil every once in a while (out of pity it seemed). After class we went to the ‘Hut for the buffet. Then during my 2nd computer class for the first time we actually talked to our teacher (usually he does what we like to call “whiteboard talking” where he just talks to the whiteboard not caring if we pay attention or not) and I guess he was a tad surprised that we spoke up.

But yeah, I’m going home this weekend to do laundry and be with my family. Well I’ll see everyone on Sunday. Bye!

Man, I miss the good times that I had with my friends at UU so much!

Although it got really boring in the second semester, the first semester was a blast! It was my first experience living away from my parents and it allowed me to be myself more so than when I lived with them. From the moment that they left the parking lot in August 2006, I felt free. It was scary for a couple of seconds, but then I remembered that my friends were here too so it was much easier to adjust.

Earlier this year when I moved out on my own in June, I felt the same way, but it was different. I knew that I needed to get a job in order to support myself and back at UU, I didn’t need to do that. Although I was worried about having enough money to pay my bills and feed myself, I felt a sense of relief knowing that my best friend Eriopolis was only a couple of blocks away.

I also felt a sense of certainty in being able to find a job. It was the beginning of summer and all of the college kids were home: a perfect time to snag a job. Of course, it was only 3 weeks later that I got a job with Myles Dairy Queen.

Two months after getting kicked out and moving back home, I’m getting restless again and I want to move out on my own again. Once I get a job, I’ll be saving up to move out. After that, I’ll be looking around for jobs in Findlay, which is where I want to move to next. Then after I secure a job in Findlay, I’ll get an apartment and move up there.

In the meantime, I’m going to be taking classes online at Owens starting the beginning of 2010. I’m only going to take two classes so I won’t be overwhelmed or anything. I’m doing this so that I can boost my GPA in order to go back to college full-time and study abroad in Japan.

Post 2 – My Online Revenue

The second post was written a year ago in 2008 when I was going over how much money I was making online:

Hey everyone, I just got done looking through what I’ve made off of this site. Although I can’t give exact figures, I can say that I’ve made a little under $20 this month.

I’ve found that my big money maker was the Text Link Ads. I forgot all about them for awhile, but then they started pulling in some money. The next big draw was Associated Content. I submitted my review of Kaman no Maid Guy to test them out and everything went just fine. I think that I’ll be submitting most if not all of my posts to them. I might also submit some videos to them as well.

Now as for the other ads, they’re not doin’ so hot. Chikita is beginning to pick up some steam, but it’s not really working out for me at the moment. As for the others, I haven’t earned anything from them. Starting tomorrow, I’ll be doing a little housecleaning on TheAndySan.com.

I’m happy to report that for the month of October 2009, I received not only the highest amount of income from this website (a little under $40), but the highest amount of viewers since I started TheAndySan.com back in June 2008 (858 viewers)!! Thanks so much everyone for helping make this happen!! I hope to break that record this month, and with some of the post ideas that I’ve got on the back-burner, I’m confident in surpassing 858 viewers this month!

However, I can’t do this alone. I need help from you my viewers in order to make this a reality. Leave a comment, write a blog post about one of my posts, or just tell your friends about me and what I’m doing on my website. Thanks again for your help!!

The other day, Jon found an old letter that Dad wrote to me. I’ll post it up here in a couple of days. It was really surreal reading it. Although it was written when I was seven, it felt like he was talking to the present me and not just that seven-year-old who was going to his first concert with Paul McCartney at the Pontiac Silverdome. Ever since reading that letter, I’ve been playing guitar a lot more and coming up with some nifty riffs. I might post videos or MP3s of them later on. I might also do some more singing videos since I really enjoyed singing Instant Karma. What song would you guys like me to sing? Leave me a comment!

Well, I’m off to play some moAr guitar so I’ll see you guys!

The post that I did for my dad’s letter, A Note From Dad Before The Concert, is one of my favorite posts as it covers a topic that has affected me for over 5 years; did Dad want me to follow in his footsteps and pick up the guitar? After reading the letter, I now know that his answer would be a resounding yes!

Although I’m not much of a singer, I do fancy myself as a good riffer and rhythm player. I’d still like to learn how to sing and play guitar at the same time though because it’s been an obstacle of mine for some time now. Being able to sing and play at the same time will also help me get into songwriting. which is something that I want to pursue next in my progression as a musician.

Well gang, it’s been fun looking back, but now it’s time to look forward! See you guys on Wednesday when I review another killer album!
