*This post is sponsored by Moving Company Los Angeles: They’ll Move You Anywhere In LA For Less!*
So I was doing some browsing around like I always do, and I came across this Los Angeles Moving Company when I was looking for places near Los Angeles. Man, I wish I had some movers to help me when I moved out of Bowling Green!!
Going over the Moving Company Los Angeles website, I noticed that they have a form where you enter your info in order to get a quote on your moving costs. I don’t like that you can’t get an estimate before deciding to go with them as your movers. You have to send your information in and they email you back a quote. In this day and age of instant gratification, I think that it’s incredibly unwise not to go with an instant estimate form on their website.
According to the Movers Los Angeles website, they ”…are a local moving company servicing the Greater Los Angeles area. We specialize in being Affordable, Reliable, and Professional. Customer satisfaction is our # 1 Priority!” A pretty generic statement if I do say so myself.
Things To Improve Upon
Now some people might think that I’m being too harsh on a website of a simple moving company, especially considering that my own website isn’t the best either. Way to throw stones from a glass house, Andy!
However, I don’t generate my online income from direct sales like they do, so my website can be a little…different than theirs.
Going with that train-of-thought, I think that in order to appeal to the much-beloved 18-34 demograph as well as an unexpectedly-expanding older audience, they should get involved with Web 2.0 applications like Facebook (a group or fan page would work wonders for attracting customers going to college and moving into either dorms, apartments, or houses), Twitter, YouTube (videos of the facilities as well as a daily vlog would give potential customers a fly’s-eye-view of what the staff do and they’ll be able to relate to them better as well as maybe knowing their names beforehand and requesting specific people for the job), and LinkedIn just to name a few.
Another very small change to improve the aesthetics of their website (and thus increase the amount of online customers) is to move what parts of Los Angeles they can move you to or from to the top of the fold. The reason being is that, quite simply, that information is incredibly important to a potential customer. Speaking as a potential customer, if I would have to scroll down in order to find such important information, I would be off that page and onto my next Google search result in ten seconds or less.
In conclusion, although their website isn’t as bad as other movers’ websites that I’ve seen, it could stand to make some improvements in order to increase their clientele base. If you’re in the Los Angeles area and are looking to move, judging from what I’ve read about them, I’d recommend going with these guys!
