Hey Kate, thanks for the comment!

I have several suggestions for beginning guitar tutorials. The first one that I think you should definitely get is Marty Friedman's Electric Guitar Day One. That one really helped me out! Marty breaks everything down so that new players can begin to play things right away.

Besides that one, Marty also released a couple other videos, but they're geared for more advanced players. When they begin to get better at guitar, I suggest that they check out Paul Gilbert. Pretty much all of his videos are a sure thing! Another good advanced video is Rock Discipline by John Petrucci. You can find all of these by looking them up on Amazon or eBay.

Another thing that I highly recommend is to get the DVD tutorials from Guitar World. They're sold sometimes at Wal-Mart, but you can order them from GuitarWorld.com. I love their magazine as well!

Once again, thanks for the comment and I hope your kids enjoy playing the guitar!

Hi, can you reccomend any good guitar tutorials for absolute beginners?

I'm getting my 3 kids guitars for Christmas but the amount of tutorials out there on youtube is mindboggling and I haven't a clue where to start.

I've got fantasies of them mastering Free Bird one day lol.
